Why Did We Pick These Charities?
Poverty in India is a harsh reality that disproportionately affects women, particularly single mothers and young mothers who bear the weight of financial insecurity and societal stigma. These women face immense challenges as they navigate the complexities of parenthood without the necessary support or resources to thrive. From lack of access to education and employment opportunities to societal norms that restrict their independence, women in India are often left to fend for themselves in a system that is stacked against them. Their resilience and strength in the face of adversity is a testament to their unwavering determination to provide a better future for themselves and their children. Our Connection
The reason we decided to begin our bandana line is, not only to provide artisinal, unique styles for dogs of all sizes, but also to draw awareness to the harsh reality faced by numerous individuals in India. Although the poverty rate in the country has drastically decreased over the years, it still plays a prominent factor in many people's day to day life. Being born and coming from India, I personally wanted to extend any help that I could for the country that is my first "home." By incorperating our handmade bandanas, I was able to combine my love for animals along with my passion for helping those in need.
