About the owner
Hello! I'm Aliza Eduljee, owner and founder of Bindhi's. I'm from Delaware and finished college in 2023. I've always been a big animal lover — from growing up around dogs, to volunteering at local animal shelters, to hosting art exhibitions raising money for rescues.
In 2020, I adopted my best friend, Bindhi — a shih-tzu, yorkie, toy poodle mix (Shorkie-Poo) who makes each day better. She came to me when a friend found that a dog wasn't the right fit for her lifestyle. I quickly jumped at the opportunity, and within a day, Bindhi found her way into my heart and has been my biggest blessing ever since.
While I was in college, I couldn't afford to spoil her the way I wanted to, so I started making dog treats myself. That hobby quickly turned into Bindhi's. I wanted to combine the two things I love most — animals and baking — and create something I could share with others.
Because we couldn't get a dog growing up, I found my love in my two cats, Reese's Cup and Hobbs. Reese's Cup was adopted in 2009 and was my best friend throughout childhood — he passed away in June of 2023 but is forever in our hearts. Hobbs was adopted in 2014 and is still going strong, as feisty as ever.
How it all started
Before Bindhi's, I started pet sitting in my local area in 2015 under Aliza's Pet Care. I absolutely fell in love with it — meeting different animals, expanding my knowledge, and always having a furry companion by my side. The inspiration actually came from when I was very young and wanted a dog of my own.
With our constant traveling and long school and work days, our family found it best to wait so we could give a dog the environment it deserved. Pet sitting became my way of learning everything about being a reliable and responsible pet owner. I continued Aliza's Pet Care until December 2023, when I decided to fully invest myself in Bindhi's.

Based in Mumbai, India, Mrudula's exposure to diverse cultures and art forms fuels her creativity. From baking to fashion to jewelry design, she loves it all — and that passion shines through in every bandana she designs. We're so excited to have you on the Bindhi's team, Mrudula!
