Hello! I am Aliza Eduljee, owner and founder of BINDHI’S! I’ll begin by sharing a little about myself! I am from Delaware and finished college in 2023. I’ve always been a big animal lover, from growing up around dogs, to volunteering at local animal shelters for years, to hosting art exhibitions raising money for animal shelters, to even claiming my Aunt and Uncle’s dog as my own until I was 9 when people asked if I had any pets just because I wanted a dog that badly! Finally, in 2020, I adopted my best friend, Bindhi. She is a shih-tzu, yorkie, toy poodle mix (Shorkie-Poo) who makes each day better.
Bindhi came to me when a friend of mine found that a dog just wasn’t the right fit for her lifestyle at the time. As a huge animal lover, I quickly jumped at the opportunity and refused to allow her to be sent anywhere else. Within a day, she found her way into my heart and has become my biggest blessing. And ever since then, we have been inseparable. While I was in college, I was not able to afford to spoil her as I wished to, so I began thinking of ways I could do it myself! I began with making dog treats, which quickly turned into BINDHI’S!
So, you could say that my inspiration for BINDHI’S came from Bindhi herself. I loved coming up with recipes for new treats, and she seemed pretty happy with my new hobby. After sharing the treats with other family dogs, I realized this was my true passion! I wanted to be in the pet industry and help animals any way I could. I came to the idea of starting a pet product business when I was at a rough point in my life. I decided I wanted to combine the things I love most, animals and baking, and create something I can share with others.
Before BINDHI’S, and on my journey to learn more about animals, I began pet sitting in my local area! Aliza’s Pet Care began! I began petsitting in 2015 and absolutely fell in love with it. I loved meeting different animals and expanding my knowledge, while also having a furry companion to guide me along. The inspiration for Aliza’s Pet Care actually came from when I was very young and wanted a dog of my own.
With our constant traveling and long school and work days, we found it best to wait so we could provide the best environment for our new addition. I found petsitting as a way to learn more about animals and all the insa nd outs of being a reliable and responsible pet owner. I continued my pet care services until December of 2023 when I decided to fully invest myself in BINDHI’S!
We look forward to sharing this journey with others, and we welcome you to BINDHI’S!
Special Shoutout: Because we could not get a dog when I was growing up, I found my love in my two cats, Reese’s Cup and Hobbs. Reese’s Cup was adopted in 2009 and was my bestfriend throughout my childhood. Unfortunately, he passed away in June of 2023, but he is forever in our hearts. Hobbs is still going strong and is as feisty as ever. He was adopted in 2014, and he rules the house.
Trevor Hunter is the Director of Manufacturing of BINDHI’S! With a strong background in pharmaceutical production and serving as a lead operator where he develops deep expertise in the quality control and strong protocol adherence. His hands-on experience has made him a reliable leader in maintaining high standards across all manufacturing processes. Trevor is currently studying leadership to further enhance his management capabilities and drive continuous improvement within his team. His commitment to operational excellence and personal growth positions him as a key asset to BINDHI’S! We are delighted to have you on board, Trevor!
Based out of Mumbai, India, Mrudula’s exposure to various cultures and art forms has helped her fuel her creativity! You’ll often find her expressing her passion through various outlets- from baking to fashion to jewelry design. whether it’s crafting beautiful bandanas for dogs or creating a fusion of color spreads, she loves it all! We are excited to have you on the BINDHI’S team, Mrudula!
